A LOT to be THANKFUL FOR!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING to all my US friends!  There is so much to be thankful for this year.  Most importantly is my family and friends!  I asked Zakary what he is thankful for and he said "I am thankful for all my dogs."   The other night the four of us all colored some turkeys to hang on the wall and we also made a family turkey with Chris's feet as the body and all of our hands for the feathers.  After I hung it up Zain kept pointing to his hands.  :)

I hope everyone enjoys today!  I know I will!

Birthday Card for Colline!!!!

BRRRRR  I am soooo cold!!!!!  It's only Nov and I am freezing!  I am in for a LONG winter!
I was on SCS the other day and this card caught my eye.  I knew I HAD to recreate it!  It is just so stunning!  My dear friend Colline's birthday was on Saturday and I knew she would just love this card.  I really had a blast making it!!!!!

I have been a busy girl the past few days!  I taught a class at the nursing home yesterday and everyone LOVED the project!  We made trees and decorated them with ornaments.   I then hung them on everyones door.  The Paloma unit at Langdon Place in Keene looks AMAZING.  I can not wait till all the holiday decorations are done.

I hope everyone has a great Tuesday.  If you have to go to the grocery store you better go today.  It was so CRAZY in there yesterday!!!!!  Ugh and I forgot cheese...I guess I have to go back.

Fall Fest Swap

I made this super quick and easy swap card in the hotel the night before attending Fall Fest  last weekend.  When doing a swap for other demos I like to incorporate a couple of different accessories.  For this card I used the  scallop punch, dazzling diamonds  on the tree and choc chip ribbon.

I made a couple too many so I will convert them in whole cards and give them out this holiday season!

I hope everyone is staying warm it is so cold here in NH BRRRRR.  Zain does not understand that HOT is only for HOT stuff not for a change in temp.  Every time he touches something hot or cold he says HOT HOT HOT

Tonight I have my stamping club over.  My girls are so much to hang out with!!!!

Quick and Easy Holiday Card

Hi!
I have to admit to everyone that does not know me I wait till the last minute to get things done!  Sometimes I surprise myself and things get done with ZERO stress BUT usually not so much LOL!  So I decided to make some quick and EASY holiday cards.  When I say easy  I mean EASY!  The first one is just stamped 2 times and I added a rhinestone sticker to the middle of the image.  The second one I stepped it up just a tad BUT it is still very simple!  I added some ribbon and glitter.  I also paper pierced around the outside of the mat.  You can whip out about 20 of these in an hour....start to finish!  Go give it a try!

My water heater is hopefully all fixed.  The plumber came over yesterday to replace the thermostat and said he felt that we caught it in time.  He also said BUT (I hate that) he MAY have to come back and rewire or replace the entire water heater if this did not fix it....so far so good!
I hope you all have a wonderful Wednesday!!!

Moosey Laundry!

Happy Tuesday Everyone!

Please please be a happy Tuesday.  Yesterday was a crazy busy day and when Chris and I were all done the dishes from dinner and just about to sit down with Zain we found a HUGE problem!  WE had a leak from our kitchen sink and it was leaking all over the basement....ALL OVER electric, ALL OVER my hot water tank...oh how I want to cry!  So i am not the smartest when it comes to stuff like this....so I called Chris's uncle and he came over.  They fixed the leak under the sink, and  luckily we had turned off all power down in the cellar because when they removed the cover to the water heater it was BLACK!  Now this morning I need to call my landlord so we can get everything fixed...
On to my card....I used my very first Riley stamp from Hanna Stamps.  They have so many different Riley Moose stamps out there...they are ALL so cute.  Please let me know if you order one...I want to know what you decide.....OR tell me which is your favorite if you already have some.  It took me a while to decide which one I wanted to order but when I saw this I knew it would be perfect to make thank you cards with.  A few weeks ago when I didn't have a washer my grandmother, aunt, and mom all let me use their washers.
Ok off to call the landlord I hope this disaster goes away very soon!

Roomie Gifts!

Hello!  Whew it feels like it has been FOREVER that I have blogged....I only missed  a few days last week but it really feels like longer.  I had a really wonderful weekend!  I went to Fall Fest in Holliston MA with a wonderful group of friends!  I travelled with Avril, Meg, and Jen.  We all had such a fun time together.  We met Ann and Cindy there as well!  The four of us girls decided to make it an overnight and I wanted to surprise each of them with a gift in our hotel room soooooo I made these swap totes that I saw a very long time ago from Julie Edmonds.  I am so happy with the way they came oiut.  It took me a while to do four of them but it was so very much worth it!  THEY LOVED THEM!!!  I love being able to make people smile!!!!

I cut all my card stock and DSP, then laminated it.  I proceeded to punch all the holes (by hand, long story) so I could cross stitch the sides to the bottom with floss.  I really think I want to make a couple more!

I hope you all try to make someone smile today!

See you tomorrow!

Mix oil and sugar, add eggs, flour, and vanilla
Grease 13x9 pan

How are you all doing today?  I am just wonderful!  Last night I made so very YUMMY cherry squares.  Oh they were delicious!  I will share the recipe later this week!

I participated in a challenge that Cindy hosted for her downline.  The challenge was to use Real Red, Old Olive, and Chocolate Chip.  We could do anything else we wanted...this is what I came up with.  I used a sponge to change the color of the felt snowflake.  It is just enough old olive!

I used markers to color the image of the stamp and the first time I used stickles....well the WHOLE image ran...I was so upset because it looked so good with all the glitter!  The second time I decided to do the cracked glass technique.  I inked the entire oval with versa mark and embossed it with glassy glaze enamel 4 times.  Put it into the freezer for a few minutes...bent it and VOILA....It is so cool!!!!  I also added a little dazzling diamonds to my enamel to give it a little sparkle.

Here is what I used on the  card:
Stamps: To You and Yours
Paper: WW, Choc Chip, Old Olive, Real Red, Holiday Treasures DSP, DSP ?
Ink: Choc Chip ink, Choc Chip marker, Real Red marker, Old Olive marker, Versa Mark
Accessories: Glassy Glaze Enamel, Little Felt Flurries, Circle Ice rhinestone brad, real red grosgrain ribbon, ticket corner punch, dazzling diamonds, nestabilities, sponge

I hope you all have a WONDERFUL Tuesday!

Happy Stamping!!

What a Weekend!

Hi!

Did you all enjoy your Halloween night?  I sure did!  Zain was so good and he knew just what to do by the 2nd house!  He opened his dr bag right up and waited for the candy to drop in.  If we stayed at one house too long then he would open it again LOL!  I decided to dress up as a nurse and Zain was a DR! We really had a fun time running to each house together!

Last week I went to Walmart and I saw some nice notebooks for very cheap.  I bought a few of them and decided I wanted to make a book where I keep all of my card sketches.  I also thought it would be a nice present for my good friend Avril.  So this is the one I made for her!  It was sooo EASY all I did was covered it with DSP and used the Spiral punch so it would have a nice finish...it looks as though this is the way it was made!  I used some chipboard for the S and I covered it with DSP.  I am really pleased with the way came out....Now I just have to finish mine LOL!
Have a wonderful day!
