I'm Baaaccck!

HI Stamping Friends I am back from Florida and there is so much to do!!!!  First I have to give a HUGE thank you to a NEW friend Jacque Bayliff from West Palm Beach Florida!  She was nice enough to give a brand new copy of the SU catalog when I was in Florida!  I can't thank her enough!  Go check out her blog!!!

So the new catalog ROCKS!!!  I love everything about it...right down to the great cover detail with the scallop edge!  If you have not seen the new catalog you HAVE to!!!!  My first order is coming in just a few days!  I am soooooo excited!

OK now on to the card...I made this card for a swap I was in...The set I used is a level 2 Hostess set from the new catalog.  It is called Serene Spring.  Ever since I have fallen in love for watercoloring I always look for a set that I can use that technique with.  Oh I found it with this set!  I really had fun doing these cards.  I scored the background (Riding Hood Red) with the paper cutter and scoring blade to make a criss cross background.  This gives the card a really nice texture!  So you ask me what did you use????  Well....

Stamp Set: Serene Spring
Paper: Choc Chip CS, Riding Hood Red CS, Kiwi Kiss CS, Watercolor Paper, Bella Rose DSP
Ink: Choc Chip, Kiwi Kiss, Riding Hood Red, Pink Pirouette, Tangerine Tango, and Black Staz-On
Accessories: Dyed Tafeta Ribbon, White Gel Pen, Scallop Edge Punch, Glittler, Paper cutter with scoring blade
Here is a close up of the water coloring.  I was really happy with the way it turned out!
Ok well I really should be making a project that I need to get done...plus I have a million thank you cards I still have to make....I think I am really just going to go to bed!
Till next time!

Excellent crafting! I had no idea they sold scoring blades for paper cutters. Just goes to show that the right tools make the job 10 times easier and the results 10 times better.
