Rockin' with Glitter!

Happy Monday to you all!!

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!  We did!!!  It rained here on Saturday so the four of us had a pretty lazy day.  The boyZ played with their toys and Chris and I enjoyed some coffee at the table as we watched over them.  We then went to the store because Chris wanted to make a YUMMER dinner!  We had the BEST roasted chicken.  Seriously it was out of the world!  It was sooo very juicy!  We also had stuffing, mashed potatoes with gravy, and broccoli.  My sister Hannah came over and joined us for dinner...I mean after seeing all that how could you not??   ON Sunday Chris had to work and Zakary really wanted to got meet my mothers new puppy Abbie so we took a little ride to Caremont...(oh I did laundry too because my machine is BROKEN...BUT my parents are getting me a new one and it will be here Tuesday YIPPIE)  Zak really enjoyd playing with the puppy!

Ok on to my card.  I made this last week for a sketch challenge on SCS.  If you compare this card to my pumpkin card you will see that the layout is the same.  I had a ROCKIN' time making  this card.  It was so fun!  I kept smiling as it came together.  I love this glitter paper that I found in my stash.  I think I got it from Michael's in the clearance bin a long time ago.  A whole 12x12 slab for 5 bucks!
I colored rockabella in with markers on WW card stock.  I then took my stickles and put some in her hair and on her guitar....oh have I told anyone that I really love glitter???  ;)  U ROCK comes from the LITTLE PAPER SHOP.  I really love that set, it is called ROCK STAR.

So here is what I used:

Stamp:  Rock star LPS, rockabella
Card Stock:  Basic Black, WW, DSP from Michael's
Ink:  Staz-On, YoYo Yellow marker, Taken with Teal marker, Going Gray marker, Certainly Celery marker, Choc Chip marker
Accesories: Sickles glitter, fibers, sponge

I hope you have a WONDERFUL day!  I will be working on some turkey's today!

Fabulous Friend!

TGIF!!!!!!

It is really onlt Thursday night as I write out this post....I still have a few more things to do before I can retire to the couch....

Tuesday night I was chatting with Avril online and I told her I wanted to make a card BUT couldn't think of a set to use.  I asked her to name one off and I would make a card with that set.  Well the first one she named I didn't have LOL (good cause I really didn't like it haha)  She knew I had Fabulous Flowers and I have had it for sometime now...This is the first time I have inked it up.....Guess what?!?  I LOVE this set!  For the background I dragged the ink pad across the More Mustard CS.  It gives it a nice look.  I just got a few new bottles of dew drops so I have been using those like crazy!  I just love all the colors!

Here is what I used:
Stamps: Faboulous Flowers, pocket silhouettes
Paper: WW, More Mustard, Old Olive, Haiku DSP
Ink: Old Olive, Tangerine Tango, More Mustard
Accessories: Dew Drops, dimensionals

How are you all doing today?  I am just wonderful!  Last night I made so very YUMMY cherry squares.  Oh they were delicious!  I will share the recipe later this week!

I participated in a challenge that Cindy hosted for her downline.  The challenge was to use Real Red, Old Olive, and Chocolate Chip.  We could do anything else we wanted...this is what I came up with.  I used a sponge to change the color of the felt snowflake.  It is just enough old olive!

I used markers to color the image of the stamp and the first time I used stickles....well the WHOLE image ran...I was so upset because it looked so good with all the glitter!  The second time I decided to do the cracked glass technique.  I inked the entire oval with versa mark and embossed it with glassy glaze enamel 4 times.  Put it into the freezer for a few minutes...bent it and VOILA....It is so cool!!!!  I also added a little dazzling diamonds to my enamel to give it a little sparkle.

Here is what I used on the  card:
Stamps: To You and Yours
Paper: WW, Choc Chip, Old Olive, Real Red, Holiday Treasures DSP, DSP ?
Ink: Choc Chip ink, Choc Chip marker, Real Red marker, Old Olive marker, Versa Mark
Accessories: Glassy Glaze Enamel, Little Felt Flurries, Circle Ice rhinestone brad, real red grosgrain ribbon, ticket corner punch, dazzling diamonds, nestabilities, sponge

I hope you all have a WONDERFUL Tuesday!

Happy Stamping!!

What a Weekend!

Hi!

Did you all enjoy your Halloween night?  I sure did!  Zain was so good and he knew just what to do by the 2nd house!  He opened his dr bag right up and waited for the candy to drop in.  If we stayed at one house too long then he would open it again LOL!  I decided to dress up as a nurse and Zain was a DR! We really had a fun time running to each house together!

Last week I went to Walmart and I saw some nice notebooks for very cheap.  I bought a few of them and decided I wanted to make a book where I keep all of my card sketches.  I also thought it would be a nice present for my good friend Avril.  So this is the one I made for her!  It was sooo EASY all I did was covered it with DSP and used the Spiral punch so it would have a nice finish...it looks as though this is the way it was made!  I used some chipboard for the S and I covered it with DSP.  I am really pleased with the way came out....Now I just have to finish mine LOL!
Have a wonderful day!
