Calling all ELMO'S

I am still making stuff for Zain's party!!!!!  I am having a fun time doing it too!  Tonight I had a meeting and when I got home at 9:45pm I needed to make some party favors for the kids.  I decided to make Elmo's face out of red and black art felt, I added an orange pom pom, which I found a WHOLE bag of at the dollar store, and of corse the big goggly eyes.  I hope the kids like them!!!  I have to go get another bag of eyes so I can make a couple more.  I am debating if I should write the kids name somewhere on Elmo???  What do you think???  

Hmm what do I want to make tomorrow???  AWE gift bags...stay tuned............

 Today was a good day!  I feel like I got a lot done and I had spent a lot of time playing with Zain as well!  I did tons of laundry today and I am so happy that I am all caught up :)  Tonight after Zain went to bed I decided to make these fortune teller baskets for his bday party.  I have to admit I had a hard time with it at first...but once I understood I couldn't believe how easy it was!  You can find the directions for these at  marthastewart.com

HELLO!!!!!  Where have I been?  Well let's see sick kids, sick BF, and then sick me...whew I am so happy it is all over!  So I thought I uploaded this card weeks ago BUT I didn't so here it is.  I LOVE this card!  I did this card for a Pretties Class.  I used my Cuddle Bug (thank you Chris!!!) and embossed the black cardstock...it came out so awesome!  I used Boho Backgrounds and stamped the white flower with black ink and also sponged the small flower in black.  This card is so pretty IRL!!!!!  I hope some of the beauty shines through the picture! 

 

Last week I went to a great event that my upline held at her house called DIVA NIGHT!  It is a night that is for demos that sell at least $600.00 a month for 3 straight months.  I had so much fun!!!  We did 3 projects and this one is my FAVORITE!!!!  We used textured cardstock, large eyelets, micro beads, chunky beads, a staple, ribbon, punches, and my new favorite set ONE OF A KIND!!!!!  Guess what?!? I came home that night jumped right on the computer to order this set and I CAN'T  :(  There is a problem with the set and the coordinating punch so until they fix it I am going to droll.  Actually SU made a statement the other day saying that it will be very soon we can buy this set again.  Once that happens and I have it I will be demoing this card at a workshop here at my house.  Contact me for details!!!!!

Tomorrow is Sunday and the only plans I have is to do the much needed laundry and to make decorations for Zain's birthday party.  My baby is turning 1 on Wednesday....WOW it just does not seem possible.  I have to make him an Elmo birthday card too :)  Hopefully I will have time to post everything before his party :)

Happy Monday!

Whew what a weekend.  Zain was at my moms and I was feeling yucky sick!  I have the cold that just won't go away.  I did spend some time With JoAnn and Bill on Friday night and then ran into them again on Sunday at Michael's.  Oh does everyone know I love shopping at Michaels :)  I tried to spend time in my stamp room getting it a little more organized.  I got all of my scrap paper organized and that is a huge relief!  I was going to take a picture of it tonight but I left my camera on all day and the battery is dead :(  Well I am still feeling a little yucky but hopefully it will just get better!!!!!!  So here is another card that I did at the Pretties Class with JoAnn and Chelly.  If anyone else is interested in taking the class please let me know and we will hold another class :O)  

  

Well I have to say I am still in love with Embrace Life!  Here is another card I made with that set..So I have a workshop on Thursday...which card should I do? This card or the card in my previous post with this set?  Tell me what you think!  

Here is one of the projects I did today with the Pretties Kit.  I had a class today with 2 friends and they loved the projects.  Stay tuned I will post more of the class tomorrow.

Okay I am getting a little sleep now.  I think it is just about time for bed.  I didn't get much sleep last night because I was busy stamping.  Tomorrow the PATRIOTS are playing at 3pm so I will be on the couch watching the game!!!!  GO NEW ENGLAND!!!!!

Oh I organized a lot of my scraps today...wait till you see a pic of this!  It did take me a long time because my scraps were EVERYWHERE!!!

Last night I was playing around with the faux silk technique that I saw on SCS last week.  It is very easy to do and the results are PRETTY!!!  I put glitter over the entire "silk" part, but I think tomorrow I am going to leave off the glitter.  It was very messy and I was having glitter anxiety :)  All I kept thinking about was Zain crawling through the glitter and then licking it off the floor.  He likes to lick the floor...I am not sure why though :)

SOOO back to stamping I used EMBRACE LIFE stamp set and I am LOVING it!  Thank you to Avril for letting me borrow it!  I also used 2 of the pearls in the PRETTIES KIT....YUP LOVE that too!!!  Oh man I have not played with stamps for a couple of weeks but now I am back!!!!  I think I got burnt out after the holidays and just needed some R&R.

Chris and I are also starting to redo my stamp room and I am very excited about this!!!!  It is going to take some time because I know what I want and I don't want to settle for anything less...So here is my first shelf that he put up.  This will hold 4 (hopefully 5 is I can find another one) 8 1/2 x 11 paper holders.  This will be great for all my SU colors and I will easily be able to see when I am running low on a color!!!!  Zain seems to like the shelf ;)
