OUCH!!!

I know my title does not match my pictures...just read on to get to the OUCH part.... I promise I will have some new projects up by tomorrow!  I am just waiting for my camera to charge.  Here are the boyZ  on our trip to Florida.  We had a great day at the ocean!  I LOVE the ocean so much...The water was sooo warm!!!!!

Ok so do you want to hear about our exciting day yesterday?  OK here I go....Yesterday morning Zain woke up a little bit earlier then usual.  Chris brought him down to the living room to play and I woke shortly after that.  I was in my stamp room rearranging it for a workshop and Chris was paying a bill on the computer....all of a sudden we heard CRASH WWAAAAHHHH!!!!!  Oh no!!!  We both went running right to him.  Well he was under a card table that I had folded up leaning against the wall.  The card table  had a big wood slab on it so it was a very heavy piece!!!   Poor Mr Zain was in a lot of pain and we could clearly see that (oh and hear it)  We made the decision to bring him up to the ER after the clinic telling us that they couldn't see him for a few hours.  Well he was a very brave boy when it came time for his x-ray...he even got a sticker that he was very excited for!  It turns out that the poor little on has a fracture in his shoulder :(  He went again for another x-ray today and again it shows the same thing.  There is nothing that they can do except put him in a sling BUT he is a ONE AND HALF year old boy that WILL NOT stay in a sling.  We just have to watch him very closely and help him out till it heals.  At this point when he is laying on his belly he can't even push himself up.  He is very active and he is not liking that he only has full use of 1 arm...he gets very frustrated!  Zak is doing an awesome job at keeping Zain busy on the couch, bringing him new toys and cuddling with him when he is in pain.  I could not have asked for a better big brother!

Well till later have a wonderful day!

A BIG thank you to

ALL MY CUSTOMERS!!!  Without you I would not be able to continue on my adventure as a SU demonstrator .  To show them just how much I cared I hosted a customer appreciation with 3 fellow demos to night.  We had  a great time, but I am very tired!  I didn't even unpack the car.  Saving that for the morning!  I am going to go PLOP on the couch...I don't even remember when the last time I sat down was!  Enough complaining!  Here is one of the fabulous projects that they were able to make tonight.  We used PUN FUN (I LOVE THAT SET!) and made a note card holder with 4 note cards.  Everyone loved it!  Ok enough out of me....Time to go PLOP!!!  TTFN!

I'm Baaaccck!

HI Stamping Friends I am back from Florida and there is so much to do!!!!  First I have to give a HUGE thank you to a NEW friend Jacque Bayliff from West Palm Beach Florida!  She was nice enough to give a brand new copy of the SU catalog when I was in Florida!  I can't thank her enough!  Go check out her blog!!!

So the new catalog ROCKS!!!  I love everything about it...right down to the great cover detail with the scallop edge!  If you have not seen the new catalog you HAVE to!!!!  My first order is coming in just a few days!  I am soooooo excited!

OK now on to the card...I made this card for a swap I was in...The set I used is a level 2 Hostess set from the new catalog.  It is called Serene Spring.  Ever since I have fallen in love for watercoloring I always look for a set that I can use that technique with.  Oh I found it with this set!  I really had fun doing these cards.  I scored the background (Riding Hood Red) with the paper cutter and scoring blade to make a criss cross background.  This gives the card a really nice texture!  So you ask me what did you use????  Well....

Stamp Set: Serene Spring
Paper: Choc Chip CS, Riding Hood Red CS, Kiwi Kiss CS, Watercolor Paper, Bella Rose DSP
Ink: Choc Chip, Kiwi Kiss, Riding Hood Red, Pink Pirouette, Tangerine Tango, and Black Staz-On
Accessories: Dyed Tafeta Ribbon, White Gel Pen, Scallop Edge Punch, Glittler, Paper cutter with scoring blade
Here is a close up of the water coloring.  I was really happy with the way it turned out!
Ok well I really should be making a project that I need to get done...plus I have a million thank you cards I still have to make....I think I am really just going to go to bed!
Till next time!

Off to Florida

Hi Friends
I am off to Florida in just a few hours...I can not sleep right now so I thought I would give you a quick update.  My grandfather passed away peacefully on Sunday morning.  I was able to talk to him about an hour before he passed.  He was a wonderful Pop to me and I am going to miss everything about him.  He made me laugh all the time!
So Chris, the kids, and I are off to Florida to spend some much needed time with my family!  We are going to celebrate his life on Saturday.  If anyone out there in my blogging family would like to send my Gram a card I know she would love it.  She is always so amazed over my cards.
Please post a comment with your email address so I can email hers to you.  I don't want to post it on here.  Thanks girls I know she will be thrilled over this and she is really having a hard time (even though she says she is fine)

Well even though it is a very sad  occasion I am still very excited to go down!  This will be the first time my family meets the boyZ!  I have not seen them in almost 3 years!

Ok I really should try to take a nap...We have to leave out house at 3:15 and it is 1:25 now....

I hope to post while I am down there but not sure if I will be able to post pics???

Dahlia Fold!!! WOW

Hello!  Happy August!
First I just want to say that I have already gotten so much information from all the girls at convention....oh how I just love blogs!!!!  Thank you all very much for sharing!

Oh on to the cards!  I say the dahlia Fold many times and always told myself that I can't do it...Avril told me it was pretty easy so off I went....you know something it IS very easy!  So easy that I even did one for my club last night.  They all seemed to like it...BUT as Chelly said she wouldn't sit down and make 100 of these.  I think a card like this is for a special occasion!  So pretty and elegant!

This red card was my first one!  I just love this card so much!  It really POPS!!!!  I added some Stickles to the inside edges of the flower.  It really makes it sparkle!!!

Okay off to get Zain up.  He is going to visit at the nursing home for a half hour this morning!  Eleanor just LOVES him!
Have a great day!!!!
